The Eco - Ecstatic Garden
Paul McCartney once rightly said, “There must be a better way to make the things we want, a way that doesn't spoil the sky, or the rain or the land.” So, Jiyaan Shah of grade 5 designed a suitable sustainable community garden and named it THE ECO -ECSTATIC GARDEN
In today’s world, we need a place where sustainability, agriculture and fun combine together and finally it is made and called THE ECO -ECSTATIC GARDEN! The Eco -Ecstatic Garden Agricultural Park is a place where communities get to participate in the exciting and adventurous activities to get many rewards and get their name etched in the dazzling community of the ginormous park.It is equipped with 6 amazing and extraordinary districts and a towering farm.
At the entrance you will be welcomed with a water fountain connected to an electric generator which will produce hydropower. In addition to this there are solar panels at various spots in the garden which will produce electricity for the entire park to make it sustainable. Around the park we have special arrangements made for disaster management. For this, there are special lights that will remain green if everything is safe and will turn red if there is a disaster or a problem. To the right you can see a drone station managed by the people of determination. This shows inclusion and opportunities for all. Drones will be operated to have an aerial view of the garden to monitor and implement safety measures. AI powered robots / vehicles will move around the park for peoples’ assistance
1.Creativity District - People of all ages including people of determination are welcome to use their creativity to make something new from the materials derived from the Recycling District. This will make the park more beautiful and get their name etched in the community of the park. This focuses on SDG Goal 9, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
2. Collection District - Where do you put all your trash? Have you ever imagined where this trash goes? Do you know this trash might go to the marine world or even go on plain areas and pollute our land, water or air? The second district is the Collection District. One of the biggest problems in the world is the correct way of disposing of garbage as it is not done properly. The community themselves can also put their trash into 6 types of dustbins based on what garbage it is. The Collection District collects all the trash and transports them into the Recycling District. This focuses on SDG Goal 13, Climate Action by making the world one step closer to a sustainable world.
3. Recycling District- This district is based on SDG Goal 11, Sustainable cities and communities, the Recycling District. Recycling is the process of making new things with old items which are not much of use to us and is also part of the 4 R’s, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle & Recover. As the name says; it is a place where trash is recycled. The food waste goes into the compost box, some of the plastic and metal are used in making harvesting equipment and landfill. The rest will go to the Creativity District. Let me tell you about several aspects of this. Plastic and metal waste is made into plastic and metal bricks. These plastic and metal bricks are used to enhance the entire park and also make amazing projects. Did you know the food waste is also used to make sustainable fertilisers to use in the farm?
4. Farm District- Have you ever heard of a farm that has many types of farming procedures? The Farm in this gigantic park is located in the centre and consists of vertical, hydroponic, aqua farms and a greenhouse, boosting farming to the next level. Protecting the farm is a a special pest killing drone bird that can kill pests that are harmful to the plants. This focuses on SDG Goal 11 and 13, Sustainable Cities and Communities and Climate Action. Here you can see that the hydroponic farms and aquaponic in the Ecstatic Grounds have raised beds to provide easy access for the People of Determination.
5.The Market District - This is a place where you can buy the best organic fruits and vegetables harvested from the farms. Did you know the water that remains after washing the harvest is used to water the plants in the farm district? This focuses on SDG Goal 2 and 3, Zero Hunger and Good Health and Well-Being.
We mentioned sustainability and agriculture but what about the fun? The park does not only have recreational zones but also inclusive playgrounds and a zipline so that the People of Determination can also have fun.
Finally, “We have the power to shape a sustainable world through our choices." By using these ideas, we can make the world a better place to live.
