Trial and Success

Over time, we have all been taught to make improvements in our lives, following a simple phrase, "Trial and Error". However, I suggest that we should all start using and adapting to a subtly different phrase - "Trial and Success".

Welcome back to cast an eye over the new developments our students are making at the tinker studio.
Amvi Dwivedi of grade eight is mindful of the busy schedule that the working mothers face, day in and out. Therefore, she is trying to make life easier, for those working mothers, having very young babies. She is prototyping a Roller Buggy- Baby Stroller and Scooter Hybrid, that will help moms to manage time for their babies and also have time for themselves. The Roller Buggy is a multi-functional baby carriage transformable into a scooter. Through a simple pull motion of the lower body, it extends the normal baby carriage into a scooter, making a more sportive and faster mode of transportation on various terrains and giving both parties a good time. The transformation to a scooter occurs through a simple pull motion of the lower body and steering is achieved by leaning left and right (skateboard principle). It allows the usage of many different-shaped seats, as well as third party seats, through special-made adaptors.

Kaushik Sivakumar of grade six is working on a model of a high intensity hydraulic jack for a car. This will be a model of a specialty jack, that can be used to lift off-road vehicles.

As the chinese proverb rightly goes , 'A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials.' Hence,  our little geniuses, through a number of trials, are steadily advancing to reach their goals. They have a growth mindset, a perspective twist of trial and success, not trial and error.

Read on to find out more, in our upcoming posts, about the new exciting challenges, our students face, while meeting their goals. Till then, keep trying as success is just a step away!
