Anshul Samudayanan from Grade 9A1 shares with us the importance of the 3R's  of conservation i.e. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and its implementation in our day-to-day life. He was successful in salvaging a chipset from an old speakers, controller, and with help of some jumper wires, a plastic box, some USB cables and drives, along with some LED lights he was able to recreate a fully functional USB Audio Speaker. Let us all Learn, Explore and Apply.

Great Minds At Work

  In the words of John Mc Donald, “ There must be a positive and negative in everything in the universe in order to complete a circuit or circle, without which there would be no activity, no motion” Electric things are so much part of our lives!  Gaining a current understanding of how electricity works and what it does is vital life learning.  Our emerging and investigative engineers of grade 6 were immensely engaged in learning the same, through a few interactive projects based on circuits. .  Our budding engineers  learnt the basics of building a series and parallel circuits.  By  the end of the activity they gained immense practical knowledge on LEDs, batteries, resistors, switches, board wiring,and spin circuits. The main activity  was to learn about  the difference between the two (series has one path for the electricity to flow, whereas parallel has two or more paths).Students also had to be able to use their analytical skills to determine if the light bulbs would glow or not. Jubilating Innovation Week

  The famous philosopher rightly quoted “ The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but building on the new.“ To foster this idea an Innovation week was organised in Mayoor Private School.   It kicked off from 16th January to 20th January 2023. to boost creativity, innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, marketing  advertising and entrepreneurship among the students. Students from kindergarten to grade 11 were given different activities to explore and execute. The activities included, jewellery making, photo frame making, bubble machine making, card board games, circuit games, games developed using coding on any platform, games developed using robotics, items like bookmarks, bags, cards, etc were made.
